On Saturday 24th October our Bulletz U14s team played in their long awaited LFA County Youth Cup final vs Lune Valley JFC.
The final should've been played earlier on this year, but due to the cancellation of all grassroots football owing to the ongoing pandemic, the match was at one point very much in doubt. However, thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, both teams finally got to play out what was a very well contested match.
Both teams made a strong start and there was some fantastic football on display, with chances created at both ends of the pitch. However a wonderful strike from Lewis Innes towards the end of the first half put the Bulletz 1-0 up heading into half-time. The second half was again played in great spirit and further goals from Oliver Bell, Logan Lister and Sami Khan (pen) contributed towards the Bulletz running out as 4-1 winners to lift the cup.
Manager Craig Tyldsley said "we are immensely proud of what this group of young men have achieved. I have had the pleasure of being the Bulletz manager from them being U7s and this is by far the proudest moment of my time with this fantastic group of players".
These words were echoed by FC Strikerz Chairman Rue Jones who stated that "Craig and his coaching team have always focused on playing the game inline with FC Strikerz values and today is testament to their hard work, commitment and dedication to grassroots"
Well done Bulletz, keep up the good work !!
