The club are delighted to announce that it has agreed with Turton High School, Bromley Cross for the exclusive use of their grass football pitches from the start of the 2017/2018 season.

The club will be making a significant investment in the drainage at this site and for the provision of a permanent storage unit for equipment.

Initially we will have use of 3 grass pitches which will be 2 x 11 a side and 1 x 9 a side. The long term plan is to create an additional 2 smaller side pitches on the grass adjacent to the 3G surface in the school.

We are extremely grateful to a parent who is a member of the club who has helped to fund this project. The pitches need essential drainage work to ensure that we get the maximum benefit and playing time for the kids throughout the season and this has already started.

We hope this is the start of establishing a ‘home’ venue for the club – an ambition we have been working towards for some time.

How Will We Pay For Maintaining The Pitches?

The club subscriptions will remain the same for the coming season - £18 per month. They are competitive and in line with most local grass roots football clubs. Subs pay for entry to leagues, hire of playing and training surfaces, kits, equipment, end of season trophies etc etc………..

The pitches at Turton will be an additional expenses. Last season we worked hard to put in place the 100 Club. This is simply a draw to win a share of 50% of the ‘pot’. The other 50% will go towards maintenance of the new pitches and to subsidise social events. You will see far more of the latter in the coming season.
